Market and trading
Players can sell items and materials on the market, or trade them directly with each other. The rules below come straight from the game.
Selling on the market
- Every sale pays a 5% fee, rounded, and never less than 1 gold. The fee leaves the game.
- Prices run from 2 gold to 1,000,000 gold, in whole gold.
| Price | Fee | Seller gets |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | 1 | 1 |
| 10 | 1 | 9 |
| 100 | 5 | 95 |
| 1,000 | 50 | 950 |
| 25,000 | 1,250 | 23,750 |
Trading with a player
- Each side can offer gold, materials and up to 10 items.
- The trade only goes through when both players confirm. Any change to either offer clears both confirmations, so nobody can swap an item at the last second.
- An open trade expires after 5 minutes.
What can be sold
- Items bind when you equip them. A bound item can't be sold or traded.
- Heirlooms are soulbound and can never be sold or traded.
- Materials and food can always be sold or traded.
New characters
Characters below level 10 can receive at most 200 gold a day from sales and trades. That stops a rich account from pouring gold into a fresh character.
Death
When a character dies, everything they held is destroyed, including items they had listed on the market.
