How to play

The job board

From level 2, the people who remember your family post 6 jobs a day. Take 3, finish them however you like, and get them stamped.

Opening the board

  • In Discord, type /board, or press Job board in town. In the app, open Social and then Daily.
  • The board shows today's 6 offers, the jobs you hold, any three-part job you're on and your chest stamps. Each offer names its giver, what it asks, what it pays and a line from the giver.
  • Offers change at 00:00 UTC and stay the same all day, whatever you do in between. The board counts down to the next reset.

Taking jobs

  • Press Take on an offer. You get 3 picks a day, and they don't carry over.
  • You hold up to 3 jobs, finished ones included. With your hands full, finish or drop one before you take another.
  • A job counts from the moment you take it, never before. It never expires, so a hard one can wait for a good day.
  • Party fights and arrivals count for every member still standing, the same as playing alone.

Claiming and the stamp

  • Whatever finishes a job says so on the same screen: the fight, the event, the arrival. In Discord a Claim button comes with it, and the town screen counts jobs ready to claim.
  • Claiming stamps the job. The giver says their piece, you get the gold, XP and Echoes at once, and the weekly chest gets a stamp.
  • What a job pays is fixed when it's offered, so moving on doesn't change it.

Dropping a job

Dropping is free and asks first. The progress goes with it and the day's pick isn't refunded. The giver takes it well, mostly.

Three-part jobs

  • Some offers are part 1 of 3. Taking one costs a pick, like any job. You run one three-part job at a time.
  • The next part shows up on your board the day after you claim the one before (00:00 UTC), already taken and free. It doesn't count toward the 3 you hold, and it counts from that day on.
  • Parts never expire, and you can drop the whole job. A dropped one can be offered again; a finished one waits 14 days.
  • The last part pays a finale on top: Echoes and something to keep, such as a title, a card style or a name pack. The job board page lists every finale someone has earned.

Letters

Osric Vell and Mother Sorrelonly walk up to you in town at home. Anywhere else, their jobs arrive by letter. The job is the same either way.

The weekly chest

  • Every job you claim adds a stamp, and a finished three-part job adds 2 more.
  • 8 stamps between Monday and Sunday (UTC) open the chest. Stamps past 8 do nothing, and the count starts again on Monday.
  • Missing a day costs you that day's offers and nothing else. There's no streak to lose.

After a death

The board belongs to your account. Your held jobs, your three-part job and your stamps all wait for the next heir. A held job the heir can't reach, because its enemy or material isn't around the new checkpoint, goes back to its giver with a word.
