The job board

Every day the people who remember your family post 6 jobs. You take 3. Finishing one stamps it, pays you and counts toward the weekly chest. Nothing here is a streak: miss a day and you miss that day's offers, nothing more. The job board guide walks through taking, claiming and dropping jobs.

How the board works

  • The board opens at level 2. It belongs to your account, so deaths don't touch it.
  • 6 new offers every day at 00:00 UTC, the same all day. Offers you don't take leave at the next reset.
  • You take up to 3 a day. Unused picks don't carry over.
  • You hold up to 3 jobs at once, finished ones included. A job you hold never expires. Dropping one is free, but its progress goes with it.
  • Each claimed job adds a stamp to the weekly chest. 8 stamps in a week (Monday 00:00 UTC) open it. A finished three-part job adds 2 more.
  • A finished three-part job can't be offered again for 14 days.

Who posts jobs

The givers are the cast. Someone with a home only walks up to you there; anywhere else, their jobs arrive by letter.

Kinds of job

A job asks for something you'd do anyway, pointed somewhere worth going. Named enemies and materials are only offered while they live around your checkpoint. Some examples:

Fights
  • Win 4 fights.
  • Defeat 2 elites.
  • Defeat a gate boss.
  • Win 3 fights in a party.
Hunts
  • Defeat 6 enemies.
The road
  • Finish a patrol.
  • Finish 2 roads.
  • Take the long road at a fork and finish it.
  • Finish a road with a mutator.
  • Reach the next city.
  • Have a good event on the road.
Life skills
  • Gather 3 herbs.
  • Craft 2 of anything.
Everything else
  • Pay respects at a grave.
  • Beat a ghost on the road.
  • Finish a daily gauntlet.
  • Attack the world boss.

Rewards

A job pays by its difficulty. Gold and XP grow with your checkpoint's tier, fixed when the job is offered, so a job you hold pays what it said. Echoes and three-part job rewards never scale. A few jobs pay a little more than their row.

TierEasyStandardHard

6240 gold, 840 XP420 gold, 1,540 XP, 1 Echo720 gold, 2,800 XP, 2 Echoes

Three-part jobs

Some offers are part 1 of 3. Each later part shows up on your board the day after you claim the one before, already taken and free, and it doesn't count toward the 3 you hold. You run one at a time. Finishing all three pays a finale.

8 more three-part jobs nobody has finished yet.

    Example jobs

A job shows here once someone has finished it. Pay is at tier 1.

46 more jobs nobody has finished yet.

      Weekly chest

Every job you claim stamps the weekly chest once, and a finished three-part job stamps it 3 times. 8 stamps between Monday and Sunday (UTC) open it. Stamps past 8 do nothing, and the count starts again on Monday. What's inside depends on your city's tier.
